Jack Meaney is the owner and sole proprietor of Morgan Real Estate Appraisal. His appraisal career started after a successful career in Restaurant Management in 1982.  He had always had a strong desire to learn the real estate business and he started in the 1980's in Real Estate Sales working for several co-op and condo developers in Southern Westchester County and went  on to work Don McGrath Associates in Mt. Kisco NY.

After working with the McGrath Organization for 5 years, as a Salesperson. He

went to work for one the premier Real Estate Appraisal Companies in Dutchess County,

McGrath, Basciani and Associates. At McGrath, Basciani, he worked on agricultural, farms, estates and residential properties. Learning his craft.

In the early 1990's he went to work for Citiscape Mortgage in Elmsford, NY as a senior residential reviewer, where he help set up the national comparable database system.

It was an exciting time.

Morgan Real Estate Appraisal was officially opened in 1999 in Downtown Pawling, NY.

The former home of Norman Vincent Peale, The man that made positive thinking popular.

The business blossomed serving most the major banks and mortgage companies in the market area.

Now Mr. Meaney has sharpened his tools and is focusing mostly on Appraisal Reports

for Tax Grievances. The real estate market on the East Coast has been hit hard and values in the declining stage

Mr. Meaney is also a Small Claims Hearing Officer for the 9th Judicial District of the Supreme Court.

He knows the system and will work with homeowners who feel they may be over assessed.


Jack is a member of  The Westchester Putnam Board of Realtors, The Poughkeepsie Chamber of Commerce and is a member of the Town of Pawling Planning Board.

John is also a leader in appraisal technology. He was among the first appraisers to bring the appraisal specification, ordering, management, delivery and payment processes online – enabling him to save clients much of the time, money and hassles usually associated with the appraisal process.

Since founding Morgan Real Estate Appraisal in 1999, Jack has prepared thousands of appraisal reports for mortgage, refinance, tax appeal, PMI removal, prelisting, relocation, home equity, home improvement, divorce, trust, and estate purposes.
